Toughened PA6 is developed for molded components where standard polyamide 6 does not provide sufficient resistance to impact, vibration, assembly stress or sudden loading. Through impact modification, the material can achieve better toughness and crack resistance while retaining the processing characteristics of PA6.
Yongjuxing supplies impact modified PA6 for automotive parts, power tools, industrial components and other applications exposed to repeated shock or mechanical stress. The formulation of toughened nylon 6 can be adjusted according to the required balance of impact strength, stiffness, heat resistance and processing performance. Reinforced formulations are also available when a component requires both structural rigidity and improved toughness.
For applications where maximum stiffness and dimensional stability are the primary requirements, compare our glass filled PA6 compounds. For components exposed to higher operating temperatures, you can also evaluate toughened PA66.
The correct impact modified PA6 grade depends on how the molded part fails in actual use. A housing that must survive a drop test requires a different toughness balance from a structural part that must resist vibration while maintaining high rigidity.
If your part mainly requires higher modulus, lower shrinkage or greater dimensional stability rather than impact resistance, a glass fiber reinforced PA6 grade may be more appropriate.
Toughening does not simply increase every property of PA6. An impact resistant nylon 6 formulation is normally developed by balancing impact resistance, stiffness, heat resistance and flow according to the end-use requirement. This balance is especially important for structural injection-molded parts.

Choose toughened PA6 when the primary problem is brittle fracture, drop failure, assembly cracking or repeated impact. If the main requirement is stiffness, dimensional stability or load-bearing capability, evaluate glass filled PA6 instead.
